# How to play NUMO DUEL

Source: http://localhost:3000/how-to-play/

## 1. Pick a game mode

**Quick Match** looks for a compatible human opponent online. **Play with Friends** creates or joins a private room with a six-character invite code. **Battle AI** is a computer opponent. **Solo Sprint** focuses on your personal best score.

## 2. Choose difficulty and round length

Choose Easy, Medium or Hard. Select available addition/subtraction, multiplication/division or mixed math options, then set a 30-, 60- or 90-second round.

## 3. Solve questions

Each question offers four answers. Choose the correct answer quickly. Correct answers earn points and may include speed bonuses. Incorrect answers remove one heart, and players begin with three hearts. A round finishes when the timer ends or the mode's ending conditions are met.

## 4. Play with a friend

1. Open [NUMO DUEL](http://localhost:3000/play/index.html) and select Play with Friends.
2. Create a room, copy its six-character code or share an invite link.
3. A friend opens the same game and joins the room.
4. The connected server synchronizes questions and verifies multiplayer scores.

## 5. Review your progress

The result view includes the final score, correct answers, mistakes and accuracy. Local practice progress is kept separately from the verified rankings for online human-versus-human duels. Your profile contains history, achievements and settings.

## Tips

Aim for accurate answers first; move to harder levels once comfortable. Short sessions make it easier to practice consistently. Online battles require configured authentication and a running multiplayer server.
